It's always a good idea to have a backup of your data in case your computer or hard drive dies. This will cost you $0 to keep running.


Current limit on free plan: 2GB


This is an extremely simple backup plan that does require some human intervention to keep it running smoothly.


  1. Download and install Dropbox
  2. Sign up for an account after installation (remember this password as you will need it if you ever need to pull files off this)
  3. Move your files to the Dropbox folder provided
    Quickbooks files are located in C:\users\Public\Public Documents\Intuit\
    Don't forget any files on your desktop, documents, and pictures folders


Benefits: This will keep your files stored in the cloud if your computer or hard drive just drops dead and will allow you to restore a backup from the previous 30 days of history.


Limitations: Backup age is limited to up to 30 days, storage capped at 2GB unless you convert to a paid plan.
